Our winner this year with 21 points andwinner of The Master Daniel Trophy is:

Cloughdean Eye of the Tiger owned by Kay Ainsworth (Sinbad)

Cloughdean Eye of the Tiger, or Sinbad to his friends is 7 years old and is about as home produced as you can get.

He is by the Irish Draught stallion Aye Aye Skipper, who stands at New Hill Stud in Worsley, out of Hornby Premium Irish Draught mare Heatherdale Saraid and was born on our farm on the hills above Bacup.

Last year was his first full season under saddle, starting as a novice, but he soon earned his RIHS tickets for 3 classes, Ridden Irish Draught, Amateur HW Hunter and Open HW Hunter.  He came 6th in the amateur HW class at RIHS and was best shod in the open HW class – a credit to our fab farrier, Gareth Holt!

He had several good wins and placings throughout the season, including a championship at the Irish Draught National Show and finishing his season off with 3 wins and a championship at Westmorland County show.

Showing aside, Sinbad loves his hacking out over the moors and trips to Somerford and Craven for their farm rides.
